Riviera Girls: Semi-Final Meeting went well last night!

We were a little late in scheduling this but everything went smoothly.

- Finalized the Cocktail Hour and Menu options. They actually said our choices were great and we made no changes to the original.

- They threw in the Espresso and Cordial Bar for us for nothing! I was so excited for this - my dad will surely be happy to hear this LOL.

- They gave us our estimated final payment based on how many we think is going to be the final number.

- Went over what we were planning on doing as far as layout and decor.

- picked our linens - went with the Ivory Damask. They said it's their most popular choice and it really does look nice on the tables.

- we got the Maitre D we requested (Paul - he's such a sweetheart and has done so much for us so far)

Here are a few questions I asked last night. Hopefully the answers will be helpful to other Riviera brides:

1) How many bridal attendants do we get?
1 Bridal Attendant

2) Who does the $3-$7 pp tip go to?
It gets split amongst the Maitre D, wait staff, kitchen staff. They said if we would like to get a breajout of how this is split up we can. We want to make sure our MD gets what we want him to so we may slip him a little extra.

3) What time can our DOC arrive at the hall?
5:30pm for a 7:00pm wedding. The earlier event will have ended by then.

4) What time can the BP arrive at the hall?
6:00pm. They will have some drinks and food for us in the Bridal Suite.

5) What time can immediate family start to arrive for pictures in the garden?
6:00pm

6) Besdies the Champagne Greeting Cart, is there anything else for our Early Arrivals?
they can have a small cheese platter but not much else until the CH starts.

and a few other things:

- Open flames are ok (like in the tea lights)

- The white table clothes DO NOT go all the way to the floor. The Ivory Damask ones DO.

- You cannot change the linens in the indoor CH area - they are standard.

- Some things that come with the Chocolate Foutnain: Assorted Fruits, Cakes, Pretzels, Oreos, Rice Krispie Treat (yeah, I totally asked about that LOL).

- Children's and Vegetarian's option are included.

Thanks for all of the answers to those questions - some i knew and some i didnt (especially the chocolate fountain one lol)

we picked the ivory linens too - the quality seemed better. They are a lot thicker then the white!!

Thanks Jessie! That is VERY useful info! Did you get to see all of the linen colors while you were there? What color napkins did you pick?

They threw in the cordial bar for us when we booked, maybe I can convince them to throw something else in for us too lol. Although at this point I think it might be overkill

hey never hurts to ask. Funny thing is - we never asked for any of it! They just keep throwing stuff in LOL.

I didn't look at all the choices of linens since we knew it was either white or ivory damask we would choose from. I did find an old post those that listed the colors. I assuming they are still the same:

'The colors of the napkins are: ivory, white, chocolate/champagne damask, pale blue/ivory damask, light pink, green, navy, and black;

our tableclothes are: ivory, white, chocolate/champagne damask, pale blue/ivory damask, and black.'

Yeah, chocolate brown is one of our colors, so I was just curious if you had seen it! I guess I will see it in a couple of months anyway
