Riviera in Brooklyn

Riviera in Brooklyn

Did anyone go to/ is having a wedding at the Riviera (the one in Brooklyn)?

Post reviews!

They quoted us a minimum of 125 people. We have about 100. We are thinking whether it's worth it to get those extra people ($105 each x 25 --> comes out to about $3000 extra w/out tax). Anyone know how strict they are with the minimum or knows anything about the place to say whether the extra $3000 is worth it?

It depends on what sort of place you are looking for. Have you been to visit?

Its one of those places that is either your style or its not.

Although the 125 min is not surprising since they can hold a lot more than that. Even with 125, it might be sort of empty in the dining room..but ive only been to a bigger wedding there so maybe they set it up differently?

I love that place. If I would of had my reception in Brooklyn, I would of had it there. Just like Stef, I have only been to bigger weddings there.

I went to a wedding at the Riviera in Brooklyn.
They are the best in Brooklyn! Without a doubt. You will even go to other reception halls and they will tell you that the Riviera is the best but they are very expensive!

They are extremely strict with their minimum from what I hear...the bride from the wedding I went to just told me that she would have saved a whole lot if they weren't so strict. They do this because they are so high in demand that people are willing to pay so much for their service that they really don't need to have a low minimum. You know what I mean. They don't feign for customers because they are always booked!

I wish I was getting married there....they didn't have my date available! :(

hmm... I didn't think that having too few people might be as bad of a problem as having too many. I guess if the hall is too large, it will just feel too empty =(.

Maybe we can add those extra couple thousands to the honeymoon instead :). I'm almost hoping that Riviera won't have my date when we go and visit...

I must say...I was a bit relieved that they didn't have my date either....FH would have flipped his lid!!!!!!
