Riviera in Massapequa

Hello,

Any thoughts on the Riviera in Massapequa? The price is decent and the look is what we're going for. I have seen some mixed reviews on here and would love some more opinions, one way or another.

We're going for 130-150 guests, Sat. night June wedding and want something relaxed but elegant. Waterside/waterview is ideal. Good food, good music and lots of dancing.

if you are having 150 guests i would prob look elsewhere as i have heard that the space is better suited for a smaller wedding. What about Chateau La Mer? Thats on the water.

I am a Venetian Yacht Club bride.....definitely check them out. They are on the water, and have two different rooms depending on your size.

Their price for us was reasonable and we are having the viennese hour too!

My sister got married there and it was amazing! Ive been to other weddings there also and have nothing bad to say about the space or the food! YUM!

My sister had about 130 guests....there was plenty of room!

i went to a wedding there and loved it but when I was looking wasnt wowed so I guess it depends on your perspective. When I looked I felt it needed renovations done and that the layout was uncomfortable for my 150 guests

I heard great things about it 3 years ago but it seems like lately people have been complaining.

Don't know what is going on there but it seems like they have gone downhill.

I loved the place at first but as I walked around I became more skeptical. Especially when I realized if there was bad weather EVERYTHING would be indoors and the reception would be where the dance floor was.

I looked at it because I wanted water. I thought the interior was too dark. I am having about 130 guests and I didn't feel like it was big enough. Also the there is no separate cocktail hour room. I mean the price was good, but it wasn't enough to win me over. I am getting married at the Venetian Yacht Club which is much more open and bright. Check them out because I'm getting married in next July and it was a much better deal than I imagined!

I'm getting married at the Riviera with a rather large wedding. We wanted something homey and on the water that was affordable. I was concerned about the size of the room and they told me to go there when they are set up for a large wedding and check out the spacing. I've been a few times now to see their set up for larger weddings and it looked totally fine. I even saw it set up for 200 once. Call them and ask them when their next large wedding is. They are very open and helpful. Good luck!

FM me if you want any other details...
