Crest Hollow has a beautiful panorama in the outside area for CH and for pictures and even to do the ceremony outside.

did you check date availability at the Riviera in Massapequa? Last i was there most of may (per your wedding day listed) was booked (2011) - so i just want to make sure you check before getting your hopes up!!!
but i guess i am biased lol but I love the Riviera. It's been a great expereince w/ them so far and i have no doubt they will do an amazing job come our wedding day. 1 wedding at a time, the views are amazing, service is great - all sounds good to me

I know they are all booked in May which *****!!! I'll have to choose either April or June. but i'm going back to speak with someone today about pricing and seee what we can get. We are also going to crest hollow but they seem a bit stuck up because we have a smaller party. She doesn't want to accomadate anything and just keeps saying she will sell the date regardless. well everywhere will sell the date regardless but I DON'T LIKE HER ATTITUDE

We changed our date b/c we loved the Riviera so much (only by a day) so i understand. but if you have had a not so enjoyable time with CHCC then im not sure you are really going to enjoy your planning experience too much but maybe you caught her on a bad day?!?! i dunno - you have to go w/ your gut, so see what the riviera says and take it from there.

I'm getting married at the Crest Hollow. How many people are you having? I guaranteed 120 ppl. If you don't like the BM you have, request either Tom or Marc.. they are great.
FM me if you have questions.

went to a wedding at the riviera. outside for cocktail hour is beautiful and the food was delicious. once we got inside for the actual reception i wasnt as impressed. the room is shaped weird and alot of people cant see the dance floor which is where everything happens- first dance, mother father dance, cake cutting etc. so that was upsetting as a guest... dinner wasnt as good as CH but still good.
JMO! HTH!

My thing is that we have 100 ppl. We were willing to guarentee the 120 but in truth we wont even have that many people there. We dealt with Sharon. My FH is not happy with her. She has the attitude that there will be bigger parties who will bring in more money and she doesn't really need us or needs to accomadate us in anyway. All we asked as if we could do 115 people. that's 500 dollars less that we can use for something else. We then asked if we guarentee 120 can we use the extra ten or 5 and get something else since they wont be accomadating any guest. she said no. everything else will be extra. i like the place alot but when I went I went alone with my sister. (FH had to work) we are going back today to check out the place so FH can see it. She wont be in today and had an attitude that we wanted to come in when she wasn't there. FH told her well I don't know what to tell you because we are coming down to a deadline and we can't schedule things around you! he really doesn't like her can you tell?
Its a shame because i really like the place but if we go today and its still full of attitude then its not the place for us!
Re: Riviera in Massapequa OR Crest Hollow Country Club
Yeah they do like big parties there. All I can tell you is that I think they were flexible with our minimum b/c our wedding is 4/10. So we actually even got March pricing which was great..If you are willing to move it to the beginning of April, she may be more flexible. May is a peak month for weddings. Sorry
Re: Riviera in Massapequa OR Crest Hollow Country Club
Have you checked out the Fox Hollow? I think they had a lower minimum but they were a bit more expensive.
Also Larkfield Manor told us we could guarantee 100...they seemed nice.. they didn't have the grounds that the CHCC has but it was still a nice smaller place.

Yes I saw and loved Larkfield and everyone there. but its really far from my Fiances family they are 4 hours from there. I wanted to give them some kind of scenery if they were gonna be driving for so long you know? Also I liked Fox hollow FH did not

Omg call up CHCC and ask for LEO or anyone else! I have never herd of anyone at CH being nasty. i am really surprised bc they do have smaller rooms.

OK I got Leo Mark or Tom. I'll be sure to ask for any of them when I get there today! Thanks everyone. I'll let you know the outcome!

My BM is Sharon and I think she can come off a littly snotty sometimes, but in reality she is awesome!!
I went to a wedding at Riviera and the outside CH was great. Like someone else said the inside room was oddly shaped and a good about of people could not see the dance floor. And the bar was in a inconvenient place. But the food was really good.

We are getting married at the Riviera in 2 months and they have been nothing but lovely and accommodating. I think for a party your size, it would be a fabulous location. Especially of the weather is nice and cocktail hr can be held outside.
I have only been to Crest Hollow once, 14 years ago for prom, so I really don't remember it very well.

Re: Riviera in Massapequa OR Crest Hollow Country Club
i went to a wedding there in October and it was beautiful. The food was soooo good and there was so much food. I think they cater to small parties b/c this one was small and i had heard they had gotten a really good deal. They got married there and changed the room around like 3 times and at dinner i beleive most tables could see the dance floor except there were 2 lonely tables in the front corner lol I would definitely give them a shot I thought it was great!
