We are staying there too!! So psyched, have you read the recent tripadvisor reviews, they are FAB!
They also talk about excursions people have taken.
I doubt we will do any excursions personally because we just want to cchhillllll

I was going to suggest the same thing...If you register (it's free) on tripadvisor.com, they have a forum that you can post questions, concerns, comments, etc. I am addicted to yet another website!

There is a tour where you use zip lines to 'fly' through the trees in the forest. I did that in Costa Rica and it was great. If you like a thrill, and are not afraid of heights, this is a great excursion.
i heard they have some great bowling alleys that are open till 2am. you should check it out.. if you are into that kind of thing of course.. (dorks!!)

sorry 'bout that first post -
omg you HAVE to check out Xcaret park!! so much fun!! you can swim with the dolphins, snorkle through an underground river, and a bunch more cool nature stuff!! we had a blast there!
