Riviera or Old Field Club

Anyone visit these two places? What are the pros and cons? Thanks girls.

i checked out both.
both are really cute, i feel like they'd be great for a wedding up to 125-130
they are small.
old field felt a little more serene to me, a bit quieter.

I looked at the Riviera, I was also at a sweet 16 there about 3 years ago. It was my first choice and I went to look at it first. Something majorly turned me off when I went but a lot of people love it.

We looked at both, ended up booking with the Riviera. It was less expensive, I think the cocktail hour area is much more appealing and I didn't like that the bar/dancing was in another area at the Old Field Club. The dining area also felt smaller for some reason.

I saw them both and they were my final two to choose from...

For me, it basically came down to price... OFC was 125 a head and Riviera was 75 for the same date...

and Riviera threw in lots of 'extra's' and they were so easy to deal with!

I dont think you could go 'wrong' with either!!

I think that the riviera is more comon but i herd the OFC is Beautiful!

We are getting married at the OFC on Sept. 18, 2010. I absolutely loved the classy elegance that this place offered. We were going to look at The Riveara (much cheaper, almost 1/2 the price) but The Riveara didn't really have too many open dated so we never looked at it. Matt at OFC has been amazing to work with. I am SO happy with our decision!!!

I LOVE the riviera but since my list is already over 250 people, it was too small for us. but I love it and that was our second choice after CLM.

We LOVED the Riviera...they were so easy to work with and worked within our budget. Almost all of our guests were from OOT, and they were so impressed with the Riviera and it's beautiful, rustic appearance :).

Love OFC!!! I've never been to The Riviera but I can't imagine anything better than OFC...they were the only place we saw and we absolutely fell in love.

never been to OFC but went to a wedding at riveira once... cocktail hour was beautiful in the back on the water and the food was delicious. Once I got inside I wasnt as impressed. Weird shaped room and depending on where youre sitting you cant see the dance floor at all... that is tough since everything happens there- first dance, mom/son and dad/daughter dance, cake cutting... I The food wasnt as impressive for dinner as the cocktail hour, but we still had a good time none the less! HTH!

I have never been to the Riviera, but I absolutely love OFC!!! I love the simple elegance of the hall and everything about it! It truly is my dream hall and I can't imagine having my reception anywhere else. Good luck! Feel free to FM me with any questions.
