Riviera - Robbery

Has anyone else read this article??? Has anyone called and asked about security changes? This was not the first time the guy had been there to steal from the bridal suite. I was wondering if any girls had more info.

I was robbed here. The owner doesn't feel he needs to provide any security for the bride. If you are getting married here please don't bring valuables or cash. Also tell your guests and vendors. A new security system has been installed since I was robbed. You never know though. There is no lock on the bridal suite door and no safe. The owner suggested locking things in your car.

honestly I just really feel that this could happen anywhere. After just going through the looking process, there were so many RH's that we were seriously able to just walk right in (even in our street clothes) it would have been very easy for us to do the same thing. Sucks that the owner is such a jerk about it, I've heard that he is a real nasty jerk (including from the manager we have been working with).

I just don't get it. How hard is it to put a lock on the door? My mother is seriously considering sucking up our deposit and having it somewhere else after all of this. You really shouldn't have to worry about this kind of thing!
