I was just there last Saturday and it was crazy, but if you prepare yourself for it, its not so bad. Plus there are tons of dresses and things to look at.
ETA: Oops, I didnt answer the question... You dont need an appt.

Re: RK Bridal
..Get there first thing and if they ask you if its your 'first time' say YES even if its not as they will then take you to a fitting room and its much better. I went there late in the morning the first time and had to walk around with dresses in my arm....and finally my name was called off the list I was rushed in and out of a fitting room.... My next visit I got there soon after they opened and said it was my 'first time' and they showed me straight to a fitting room and a really nice older lady called Olga- I think...helped me out...much better experience...Good Luck

Olga helped me also. I went there twice and both times Olga was great (even my second time). You're supposed to only bring in lie 7 or so dresses, she let me bring in more. She was very helpful, I would go during the week if you can.

Re: RK Bridal
They are sooo busy on the weekends, it's ridiculous. I went on Saturday at 9:30 when they opened because I had an appointment to see my dress. I showed up at exactly 9:30 and there was a line of brides to be waiting outside. It's a zoo! So try to go during the week or make an appt.
