RK BRIDAL

Has anyone ordered their bridemaid dresses there? If so, how are their alterations? did anyone have problems w/ them? Thanks.

Re: RK BRIDAL

The girl who took the order told me and my bridesmaids that alterations were included with the 'Full Service' option, only to find out when the dresses came in that that wasn't true, full service means that they measure you to get the right size dress, that's about it, you have to pay for alterations when you go back. With their 'No Frills' option you order your own dress & take a chance that it might be the wrong size, and if it is there's nothing they can do about it. That's why they claim their prices our discount, but I paid just as much for my dress for my friends wedding someplace else and they didn't charge to measure me. Knowing what I know now, i wouldn't have let my girls buy their dreses there, plus their alteration hours are so restrictive, none of my girls live in the area so they had to take special time off from work in order to get their alterations done through RK, it's ridiculous!!!

Re: RK BRIDAL

My friends wedding that I'm in wants to order them there. I am ordering my dresses elsewhere. We were told that the full service is the price of the dress plus 50 bucks for alterations.

Re: RK BRIDAL

I ordered all of mine there. All but one of my girls went with the no frills plan. One will be getting her alterations done there. She has got them done yet.

I totally recommend RK to everyone. You are not going to always get the service like a small shop gives but the prices are great and you get what you need and quick. My dress all came in 1-2 months. I ordered different style dresses and they all matched perfectly in color.

I have also been in a bridal party where we ordered the dresses there with no problems again using the no-frills plan.

I know two girls who bought and had their dresses altered there again with no problems.

Let me know if you have questions.

Re: RK BRIDAL

Whatever you do just make sure to have everything written in the contract so there is no miscommunication going on.

Re: RK BRIDAL

I have ordered 2 BM dresses from RK Bridal, full service, and they are friendly, courteous, with a large selection, which I like.

However, I will not subject my girls to ordering their dresses from there b/c Ithough by the time you pay full service, and $50 on top of that for alterations, it comes out to be very expensive, the only way to get a deal is to go NO FRILLS, which has no guarantees on the size.
If you for sure know which size you need, the NO FRILLS is great, if you need to be measured, I'd go elsewhere.

If you're in LI, you can get good prices at The Wedding Center in Commack, why not try there?

Re: RK BRIDAL

I forgot to mention, as for the alterations themselves, I was satisfied with the quality, but think I paid too much for what I had done, considering I had already paid the full service price.

Re: RK BRIDAL

IMO, RK bridal is a good place to go and try a whole bunch of dresses on because they have a huge selection...BUT..i wouldnt order from there because they say their prices are discounted, but they are soooo not!! my wedding dress was MORE expensive there than at the full service salon i got it from and their price didn't even include alterations...

Re: RK BRIDAL

a bridal salon will measure you and tell you what size dress you need, then you can order it from rk bridal. just dont tell the salon that!
