RK Bridal

has anyone phoned/faxed n an order to them? how does it work, do they email you back a delivery date and then confirm? how was your experience with it?

do they charge rush on each dress in the order or is it on the whole order?

Re: RK Bridal

i used them for my BM dresses. you have to print the order forms from their website & fax them in. i called to confirm receipt of the order, and they emailed me an order confirmation the next day for each dress since they are different styles. There was a ship date on the confirmation and the dresses were shipped that exact date, and arrived in perfect condition. We didnt do a rush order so I dont know what they charge for that.

i'd def reccommend their no frills program, and you get a 5% discount if you price match from another company. i price matched through netbride.com which gave me the cheapest price from all internet vendors.

I agree with the last post. I did the same thing and I actually had all 6 out of 7 of my girls have their orders in a while ago. We were waiting on one of my other BM who was in another state. The minute she put her order in, I got an email stating all of the information, the colors and everything for the dresses. It really was surprised that they sent it so quickly.

I would defnitely use them again if I had to. :)

i loved them.. used them for my BM dresses and had to use a rush bc i planned my wedding in 3 months.

I used the no frills program as well. Beautiful dresses, excellent prices. It was pretty simple and convenient.

My only advice for the no frills program is: make sure that you go over the sizing chart with your bridesmaids (and their measurements) and get the size that they are, not what they think they are. Dress sizes run differently.

Two of my bridesmaids ended up ordering their dresses a little smaller and they have to be let out! We are lucky it is fixable.

Re: RK Bridal

Unfortunately for me, I just recently had a bad experience with RK Bridal. I used the No Frills program for my bridesmiads Jim Hjelm dresses, which came out pretty cheap compared to the original cost. In March, they quoted me a delivery date for July 3, which was cutting it extremely close to my wedding date, so I had to ask for a rush, which is supposed to be $30 for a 5 week delivery. I had to take them to BBB snd Consumer Affairs. They withdrew over $1,000 from my account unauthorized. As soon as they received correspondences from Consumer Affairs and BBB, my dresses were delivered on June 3!!!

They were rude and insensitive to my plight. They were very unorganized and non-professional.

Anyhow, after all of the anguish, I Ioved the dresses.

Also, do order one size up, especially in the Jim Hjelm Couture Collection. They run pretty small. When you do the No Frills Program, they are not advised to assist you with any measurements. Thankfully, a staff member put that buzz in my ear or my bridesmaids would not be able to fit their dresses.

I ordered my BM dresses from RK with a mix of no frills and full service. I had a bridal party sheet there and they added each girl as she got her size then placed the order all at once. They explained to me that the sizes get bigger faster bc regular clothes go up 2 in between sizes but BM dresses go up only 1 in so that less alteration is needed.

We got Jim Hjelm dresses. They said it would be 10-12 weeks. We didn't order rush but they came in 4 weeks anyway. They are stunning dresses. We had a great experience.

Re: RK Bridal

OK, I totally understand the bad review of RK. i don't cnsider 2-3 months a rush. it's total BS. they do it on purpose to get you to pay the $$$. i called a few weeks ago and they told me the closest delivery they had was sept 5 rush and sept 19 w/o rush, b/c i told them my wedding was 9/20.

when i went there i saw one of my maids went there in may and told them a sooner wedding date and her dress is coming aug 29. i mean, it's not even july yet. what's teh big deal. it's a big scam to get you to pay the rush fee.

i totally would not give them business after seeing that but i already ordered half of the dresses from them. i tried contacting netbride but didn't get a response yet.

Good for you for going to the BBB. it's totally unethical what they do. Rush should be like a month/week. super rush should be a couple of days.

i saw that the Jim helm dresses are offered express now. (rush unnecessary at 8 wks.) ppl should def make a stink about their delivery dates and i'm sure something would change. i hate giving business to places that i think rip ppl off.

BTW, did anyone see the sample sale at kleinfelds on say yes to the dress. what an operation they run there. so glad i didn't get my dress there. i was going to go there too. i HATE pushy salesppl.

I ordered my wedding dress through the No Frills and it came in a month exactly. No problems whatsoever.

i had a great experience with RK Bridal and used their no frills and price match for the BM dresses. Once I figured out how to submit the paper work (which they helped out with) it was so simple and we got the dresses in less time than was expected. Its a great way to save your BMs some money and easy for me since they all live in other states.

I agree. I went to RK Bridal one week prior to actually ordering my BM dresses and they gave me a delivery date, without the rush, for June 20. I asked how did it work. They explained that each additional week that I wait, they add on another week. Therefore, the dress delivery date should have been June 27 when I went back a week later. So, how did it jump from 6/20 to 7/20, one week later?? They wanted me to do the rush delivery. I eventually did do the rush, and they still quoted me a July date!!! What's the rush?! The dresses end up coming in the same time as if I would not have done the rush.

Go figure!

My BM's have the same dress JH #5824. The are beautful, but doesn't accommodate those well- endowed BM's. lol Did they have to do a lot of alterations on your dresses?

Re: RK Bridal

I'm sorry the pp didn't have a great experience with them, I've used them quite a lot and recommend them highly.

I got all my BM dresses at RK, through No Frills. They tell you right on the paper that No Frills means just that, you measure yourself and you order yourself, that's why the price is so cheap. They were great to work with and my dresses were in my BMs hands in 8 weeks (no-rush).

Also, when I was a BM in 3 other weddings we got our dresses there No Frills and same thing, I couldn't have been happier. I think they are always great to work with.
