from what i've been told you dont really get a sales person you are kinda on your own to hunt through the racks and then they help you getting into the dresses

Been there twice already and no one really helps you. You are on your own in there. You can ask someone a few questions but there won't be someone there helping you pick out dresses.

i went here as well. try to arrive early, soon after opening time. i noticed the waiting list grew longer as the day went on. i would highly recommend coming prepared with specific style #s and designers you are looking for. i had a handful of printouts with me so i was able to quickly zero in on the racks with those designers and flip through dresses looking for the styles i wanted to see. you're on your own pretty much for the dress pulling process. once you select a few dresses, you hang them on a rack and wait for a consultant to become available. they'll help you in and out of the dresses, but i didn't get much help beyond that. my consultant maybe pulled 1 dress she thought fit my style, but i forget. it's a completely no frills experience. it works for some people, not for others. good luck!

You kind of just need to do your HW first. If you go in there with style numbers or print outs that def makes it easier. Is anyone going with you? I went alone in the middle of day and it wasn't crowded but was so overwhelming and I had an idea of what I wanted becuase by that point I had tried on about 50 dresses. Im not sure the womans name who helped me once a dressing room was open and my name came up. I had nothing and told her exactly what I was looking for and she pulled about 4 dresses, she showed me more than that but they were NOT what I was looking for at all. Out of the 4, one was very nice. A Saison Blanche. But, it wasn't the one. I know someone else who went and knew they had the dress she saw online. She tried it on, and loved it and got it for a good price. Also my FSIL got hers last year. She found it there but then called Bridal Elegance in Huntington and they even beat that price and she didn't have to go into the city for alterations.

Hope this helps!

Actually...I had a different experience. I went on a week day about 30 mins after they opened. There was only 3 other brides in the salon so the salon staff was quite helpful. Her name was Sheryl and she was very nice. Although the appt was a little rushed, she ultimately was the one that picked out my dress!! Sheryl had went around the store and picked out all the dresses that I had described. She also picked out a few that she thought would be good. She was the one that picked out my dress for me! I had hated it on the hanger and didn't even want to try it on but she kept saying `trust me`. I did and in the end it was the one for me. It's a justin alexander.

But...I should explain that I did not buy the dress at RK. I too, like the other post, bought it at a different store on the island. I didn't want to have to go into NYC for all the fittings so a local salon near me sold the dress so I was able to purchase it there. However, if it wasn't for RK I would have never found it!

They only let you try about 7 on. Jo is amazing! My friend had a great experience. I was with Sheryl and I didnt love her! I ended up finding my dress there but got it on LI for about 400 dollars less! Good luck and get there early!

I had a great experience there! Olga was my consultant. The first time I went on a weekday and had the entire store basically to myself. I tried as many dresses as I wanted. The second time I went on a Saturday and it was really busy! I tried on about 5 more and said YES!

Good Luck!
