I'm sure this has been asked a million times before, but I am FINALLY going dress shopping for the first time at RK Bridal and I know many brides here have shopped there...Do they let you take pics? Is there anything I should be aware of when I go? I'm very nervous!

They do not let you take pics at RK until you have purchased the dress. I would say its good to go early and have an idea of some dresses you like. Or atleast styles. They have books in the back near the bathroom that you can flip through as well. But if u have an idea I feel like the process goes smoother. It's fun. I dealt with Sue and once she started to see what dresses look nice on me she started suggesting some others.
The dress I chose is the one she suggested, it's in my album if you want to see.

I went on a weekday so it was not crowded at all. a big plus for me. There were way too many racks there and very hard to see the dresses from the bags they were in. I took photos of dresses I liked (from their website) and just gave it to the lady to find the dresses for me. that was much easier. they dont let you take pics but i asked the lady if i could take one shot of one dress and she said ok and walked out of the room so she wouldnt see anything hehe. they have a lot of choices so it'll be a good trip but because the have a lot of choices, make sure the lady really helps you find your gown. i had zero patience and couldnt get through all the racks.

i was there twice - it's pretty overwhelming the first time, the place is HUGE and has a million dresses. def bring pics from magazines. or if you are partial to a certain designer, they're grouped that way. no pics allowed, but my friend was in the dressing room w/ me and her camera phone

Sorry to crash.. I got my dress at RK.. Ask to work with gilda! Shes amazing.. I came in with a bunch of dresses I wanted to try, but she also added a few that she thought would look good on me.. I actually ended up buying one she suggested.. she very patient and honest.. and she let us sneak some pics.. Good luck!!

it is really overwhelming b/c they have so many dresses!! but DEF get there early b/c you have to put your name on a list to try on dresses & they go in order (obviously lol) i got there when it first opened and i was #2 on the list so i got helped right away!!!

i went to look at bm dresses there and i went on a weekday after work...there was no line, no list, walked right in and started looking...then i found one bm dress but wanted to try it on myself and walked right into a dressing room...Never went on a weekend but ive heard how long some girls have had to wait

yeah thats probably what its like on a weekday... but on the weekend they have a list... hence why you should get there early!!!!

I wonder what day she is going...if theres a chance she can actually make it on a weekday she should do that to avoid all of that

YEAH!! it was the first one i saw when i walked in on a maniquine (sp?) lol - i havent even paid the down payment off yet on my credit card lol
