I called Rk and the BM dress that I want is $50 cheaper if I buy it through their No Frills policy. Has anyone done this and if so - do the BM's go there to get measured? Can you save on the shipping if you have it shipped to RK and pick it up there?

I have not experienced it, but from what I hear, you go there, take your own measurements, select the approproate dress size to your measurements and place the order with them. No alterations or anything is included in the price.

5 or my 6 girls did it and so far so good. Everyone except my MOH got the correct size and she did not follow the sizing chart. The girls either measured themselves or went to their local tailor to get measured. I'd recommend it.
The dresses are shipped to you and you don't have the option of shipping to RK. BUT if you have someone who lives in NJ then you can save on sales tax.

I did it too and they saved $62 each on the dress (actaully, it allowed me to get the dress I wanted because I never would have asked them to spend the $230 it was priced at elsewhere). They came in 2.5 weeks later! There were no problems and I actually had them shipped to RK and picked them up on a Sunday morning, no problem. Saved $7/dress.

We did this for my friend's wedding.. We all got measured on our own and she brought in the measurements.. Then we all had seamstresses that we would use normally- so we all did not have a problem of finding that on our own.. Be careful about them ordering up sizes though-- make sure you look at the chart- all our dresses were big.

My girls were all measured by a local seastrss and I went to RK with their measurements. I followed the sizing chart and ordered for their biggest measurements. The dresses were all too big, but nothing that alterations couldn't fix. I picked the dresses up at RK to save the shipping cost.

I'm placing my order next week and we are saving at least $50.00 each dress. I'm very excited and I think it is very worth it. It is not difficult to take your own measurements. RK Bridal gives you all the instructions. I've heard all good about them.

Even with the shipping cost, my bm dreses were such a bargain at RK- they were only $99 before tax & shipping, which was less then the online vendors we priced.
It worked out fine- they were shipped to 2 different places & both arrived promptly. We also ordered big.

I should have qualified my response by saying my girls all ordered different dresses and that was why we could not say on shipping. If you order them all togather you only pay one shipping price but we couldn't do that because they were different.

I wish I could order from them but they don't have the BM dress I want. I don't see anything wrong with picking it up and going to your own seamtress. I think it is so much easier! You should do it

I bought a BM dress from RK for a wedding I was in but I bought my BM's dresses from Netbride wich is the same deal. My girls went to bridal shops and I emailed their sizes Netbride. The dresses were perfect and we saved a ton of money.

I just picked up my girls dresses and mine!!!!
They all came out perfect! We did the no-frills for the girls and the dresses were only $123 each!!
you can borrow the girls measuring tape there and they can guide you with the sizes.... Cludella is GREAT!!! I would ask for her to help you out....

I have used this several times when I was a bridesmaid and also used RK for my wedding. We saved sooo much money! All my girls were out of state so they got measured at a tailor or local bridal shop where they went to see the dress. I placed the order and picked it up since I work in the city. No problems and the sizes on the chart we pretty true. All of them needed alterations, but they were not major ones. And the girls that work there are very helpful.

They range depending on designers but the price/designer is very reasonable. If you go to their website (rkbridal.com), you can view the list of designers they carry.
