RK Bridal on Saturday

RK Bridal on Saturday

two of my bm's and I went to RK bridal today to look at some dresses and omg was it crowded. We got there at like 11 and there was probably 6 other groups before us. We tried some dresses over the clothes but then they yelled at us, so we stopped. Never got to finish trying them on because we did not feel like waiting for 3 hrs. I wanted to ask one of the sales ppl about colors and prices but they were too busy to talk to me. Is the prices on the tag, the actual price..?

I got all of my dresses from RK, mine, my bridesmaids, and flower girls. There are 2 prices on the tag for the BM dresses. The higher price is assuming the people at RK measure you and do the alterations there. They lower price is the 'no frills' price. This means you get a size chart for that designer and go to your own tailor to get measured and the order the gown at RK. Your tailor is responsible for the alterations if you use 'no frills'. This is what I did for my girls b/c they all lived and in various places and wanted to use their tailors. Plus it saved them money.

Also, it does get very crowded on Saturdays. My advice is try to go as soon as it opens or find a day when a few of you can take off. Its so much better during the week.

Re: RK Bridal on Saturday

oh yeah its insane, thats why i went with my bm's on a weekday to get bm dresses. The store was practically empty when we went. We were able to look around the whole store. We were able to go into the dressing room once we were ready, well as we were picking up dresses we'd put them in the dressing room so we didnt have to carry them around. Then when we were ready we just went and tried the dresses on. We were able to stay as long as we wanted. I did it on a weekday to avoid going with a big group of girls on the weekend its too crazy plus you are limited to how long you have the dressing room.

Actually theres 2 prices on the price tag, not sure if you noticed. The price on the front part will be higher and thats if you buy it regularly. On the back is a lower price, usually anywhere from $80-100 less and thats the price if you do it through their no frills program. The bm dresses we picked were $258 and we did no frills and they got it for $186 with no tax since we had them shipped to NJ to a friends house. My MOH's dress was same price but hers was a bigger discount and hers came out to $168

i wanted to go on a week day but it's hard since everyone works. We pretty much liked 3 Bari Jay dresses so i think i'm going to try alexandra's in forest hills and then buy them at RK assuming they will be less expensive.

is there any way they can meet you after work. Do they work in the city? We met after work, i told them to meet me at RK at 6pm, i got there earlier around 5:30 since i wasnt that far from there. Most girls got there on time bc they either worked in the city or even those that didnt still were able to make it. Then after we all went to eat so it was fine.

Most worked in the city and were already there so it was easy for them. One worked in LI but she took the LIRR to penn station which is right by rk
