Is it better to go with 'frills' or 'not frills' option when getting a dress from their?
Is it better to go with 'frills' or 'not frills' option when getting a dress from their?
I havent bought any dresses there yet but Ive been there a few times on lunch break looking at BM dresses. It sounds like a pretty good deal, with frills. I think its only $60 for no cap alterations!
I bought a bridesmaid dress with the no frills option. They let me try on the sample in the store anyway. The bride complained about her alterations there, but I had no problem with the no frills option. If you have a seamstress you trust, I'd go that route.
I got my dress there, at a great price BUT I added a 3/4 sleeve to the dress (which the manufacturer charges $150 for) and in addition my alterations are $250 and believe me they are very MINOR. I don't even need a hem, just taking in in the chest, a little tapering on the sleeves and an easy bustle. If you need a hem and more work they can go up to $350. I just did it for convenience as I work in midtown and dont have my own seamstress, so this was easier for me than finding one. But its steep.
My bridesmaids did no frills for their dresses, everything worked out great!! They saved a lot of money!
Same here. Used NO FRILLS and didn't have any problems. The girls were thrilled they could use their own seamstresses and they saved tons of money. The same dress at the regular salons were almost double the price.
