How many of you got their dresses from RK Bridals? Can you give me feedback on them? I work in the city and was thinking maybe I can stop one day on the way home and start looking for my dress.
Thanks ladies

Re: RK bridals
I bought my dress from RK (haven't received it yet). I like to describe them as the DSW of wedding dresses. They have tons and tons of different dress. I went on a Saturday with my bridesmaids and mom. We got to browse the store without anyone bothering us. You take the dresses you want to try on off the rack and place them on another rack by the dressing rooms and tie them together with a ribbon they provide (just to show these dresses are taken by someone). The weekend is crazy so they only allow you to try on 5-6 dresses. I thought my dress room helper (don't know the official title) was very nice and gave me great advice and opinions. She even picked out the dress I ended up buying. Make sure you sign your name on the fitting room list. That's how they know who's turn it is.
I've heard on the weekdays you can try on as many dresses as you want.
Also after you make an order they email you a confirmation with the estimated delivery date. They also email you again when the dress comes in so you can go and try it on. Fittings are done couple months before the wedding. I believe its a flat fee for alterations.
Hope this helps!

Re: RK bridals
def go during the week cause its a mad-house on the weekends.
i looked there, the sales lady (Emily- doesn't work Mondays) was very nice. you have to sign up as soon as you get there and then wait to get a room- but it goes fast cause your looking for dresses while waiting for the room. but you can only take in 6 dresses! my lady let me take in a few more cause i was quick (some i didn't even come out they were so wrong). you can find some great deals, but they don't have all the styles in the store- so if you saw a dress on the website that you want to try on- it might not be in the store.
I didn't get my dress there, but i got my BM dresses there (no frills)
good luck!

I got my dress there. Their selection is very wide! The people who work there are nice. The ONLY complaint I have is make sure you're 100% sure about the dress you end up ordering because you have 4 days to cancel. And if there is anything you want changed on your dress before hand (taking out beading, etc..) You need to let them know RIGHT AWAY. Also they are not very good at returning calls. But you can def. find great dresses at affordable prices! Good luck! XOXOXOXO Kitty

Re: RK bridals
I got my dress there and they were GREAT! The DSW of dresses comparison is so true- I've never seen so many dresses in one place. I went there and worked with Olga- she really knows her stuff. I had looked around and picked out a few, then once Olga had a feel for what I liked, she picked out a few others, including the one I bought. I had written down some style numbers of dresses I saw on magazines and online, too, and almost every one was there. As far as how many you get to try on, I think it depends on who you get to help you. I went on a weekend with another friend who was getting married, and I got to try on as many dresses as I wanted (probably about 10), but the woman my friend worked with cut her off at 5 or 6.
I ended up ordering my dress online through their 'no frills' service since I live in VA and we were going to get married down here, so I figured I'd get my alterations done around here, too. The online service is great- the online price was a couple hundres dollars cheaper than the in store price, and then they say they'll beat any other online merchat's price by 5%. So, I got a quote for my dress from another stop (I think it was netbride), and inlcuded their quote with my order, and they did beat netbride's price by 5%. In the end, I got my dress for about 75% off retail price, and it came in over a month early!!
I would recommend them to everyone. I think we're going to get our BM dresses through them, too- they have a great selection and great prices.

Pointers:
Def go during the week, we went on a saturday for the bridesmaids and it was a horrible!!!
Don't buy accessories from them, way way over-priced! even with the discount they offer, I got my tiara from a place on 6th ave for $150 cheaper than the price i was quoted by RK
Make your dress fitting appts early! they book up fast
I really recommend them, the staff is very nice and knowledgeable, not too pushy and honest with their opinions, as a BBW I was worried about being embarrassed or getting looked at but the ladies were wonderful to me!
I was told my dress would be in on Feb 28 and on Feb 28 RK called to say it was in
My only complaint is they don't have enough people to answer the phones or help at the front desk, I spent more time waiting to pay for my fitting than the actual fitting.

Re: RK bridals
I am using RK Bridal and they have been nothing but great so far. I worked with Gilda and she was such a great help. She knew exactly the style I was going for. She was very patient with me and my mom. I ordered my dress in November and it came in JAnuary! I was sooo excited! Just some pointers that helped me out: is look at their selection online and bring in the style numbers you would like to try on! GL

Re: RK bridals
One more positive feed back.
I got my dress and my BM dresses there. My experience was great. The associate that helped me (Alison) was very knowledgeable. The dresses came in on time (even early) and the seamstress did an amazing job with the alterations.
I lost 20 pounds between the time I ordered my dress and my first fitting. The dress needed to be taken in A LOT. I just went to my second fitting and the atleration job was incredible. She basically took apart the entire bodice (inlcuding the beading and lace) and remade it. You cannot even tell that everything was taken apart and put back together.
I highly recommend them.

Re: RK bridals
I got my dress their too. I worked with Emily and she was great. When I decided on my dress, she said that I should go for the ivory because it compliments my complexion more rather than white. At first, I didn't know the difference, but when she held both of them together, it was a big difference. She was extremely helpful.
I ordered my dress almost a day to my wedding and the e-mail confirmation said I should get it early February. I got it in the middle of December!
I'm going back there for my BM dresses and for my mom to look for her dress in a few weeks.
The prices you just couldn't go wrong with. I think my only complaint is that they really didn't have such a great shoe collection if you wanted to have everything done their. Also the prices for the headpiece & veils were too expensive. Other than that, I love them

Re: RK bridals
I got my dress there and it came in faster than they said. They really dont help you in the bridesmaid dept unless you ask but I like that because I dont like to be bothered. In the bride dept you get great service. The bridesmaid dresses are much cheaper than anywhere else if you get them altered elsewhere.
The only annoying thing is that they tell you your dress is in but then you cant get fittings until later on. You go in just to see your dress and then make appointments for the fittings.
