anyone ever been on the canadian side? thats where we're going. DH and I are taking my family from Poland that came for the wedding. DH has never been to NF and I've never been on the canadian side.
Any tips?

ive been to the canadian side. You'll find theres lots to do. Theres this boulevard that is pretty long and theres one place next to another. At night will kinda remind you of ac or vegas with all the lights on a smaller version though hahaha. Theres restaurants, a few clubs, bars. They have the ripleys believe it or not museum which i LOVED. Then a bunch of those type of places such as americas most wanted museum which is all about mobsters. 4d movie theaters but its short like a ride at great adventure. Its very lively at night

Do the Maid of the Mist tour. It takes you into the falls and it is such a great time!

WOW i forget the most important part did you also see that theres an option to walk on the side of the cliffs but many didnt do it, did you? its on the side of NY, theres these red stairs you go up

I LOVED THE CANADIAN SIDE!!!!! Im dying to go back!!!!! IT'S 10 TIMES BETTER THAN AMERICAN SIDE!!! IM JEALOUS!!!!! EDIT: FORGOT THIS: Along with the red stairs on the american side...U can GO BEHIND THE FALLS on the canadian side.. it's awesome taking Tunnels and coming out behind the falls!!!

yeah thats what i did too, the cave part was cool and then being right under it. I wanted to do the one that you walked up the stairs but i think it was the other side, wanted to see if somebody did it. On the way home we stopped on the US side for a few hours but nobody wanted to do it

I heard you get incredibly wet..they give you specific shoes to wear too!! Sounds awesome!!! Next time I'd love to do it!!

yeah while we were waiting on the maid of the mist there was a group doing it. I was watching them and they did get so soaked and were given gear to wear just for that, i wanted to do it so bad, looked so cool.

It's funny, the Canadian side is full of life... stores, attractions, etc... ask your hotel for brochures of all the excursions you can do! they are ALL worth it

its not the first time i heard this though. Quite a few people have told me they didn't get checked. Meanwhile they were on top of it with me

We went last summer and we were checked hard!! they even asked us to open our trunk!!!
Good thing we hid all the drugs in the glove box!!!
