Re: Robot Vaccum
Oprah had it on her favorite things for spring. It looked pretty cool but I have no idea where the dirt goes...its so small I cant imagine it can go for very long without needing to be emptied.

Re: Robot Vaccum
Here's the deal on the Roomba. MIL got it for me for my shower.
I don't really recommend it. It picks up very good and it does a good job of getting under furniture (like beds and dressers) but that's it. It does know when it is about to go over stairs and will turn around plus you can set a laser boundry that it won't cross.
The thing goes in circles and is not very systematic in it's cleaning, so even if it runs for a long time, it's going to miss areas. When it bumps into something, it just turns and goes it a different direction. The thing is sort of loud, and all vaccuums are, but this one has to run for hours, according to the manufacturer. Also, it takes an eternity to charge. At times it gets stuck on something and wimpers and you have to go get it.
I don't think it's worth all the money MIL paid for it. It's a novelty at best!
