My fiance and I are getting married in RVC, and are falling in love with the area.. we are planning to move hopefully there in July.. does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations of good apartment buildings or town houses? thanks so much! :)

I got married at St. Agnes Cathedral and was living in my own apartment there for years (2nd floor of a private house). I love that town! We did look at houses there back in 2000, but we opted to move to the north shore to have more land.
Are you interested in Co-ops? There are so many there. I went with a real estate agent when I was looking, but you may also want to look in the local pennysaver.
The only area you might really want to avoid is the area near Lakeview and Peninsula Blvd.

I currently live in Oceanside, which is right next to RVC. I own a co-op, but I will be selling very shortly. My FI owns a house and I will be moving in with him. I have contacted a few Real Estates in the area, but I think I am going to try to sell it on my own. It is a one bedroom co-op with a spiral staircase up to a loft (which could be used as a second bedroom or an office), 1 1/2 baths, cathedral ceilings, skylights, a little deck off the living room, gated community, security guards on 24/7, 3 pools, 3 tennis courts, volleyball court, playground, dog run, gym, etc. You have your own parking space and unlimted parking for any guests. Lots of nice areas in RVC. Just be careful of the school district being Malverne.
I would look for Rockville center or Oceanside Schools. The houses mya be less expensive in the oceanside school district.
I grew up in RVC, and we plan on buying our first house there very soon. There are so many beautiful areas in rockville centre it will be hard to chose. If you need any info on the area, please feel free to FM me!

My Aunt and Uncle are selling their house - they are asking the low end of what they were told they could get $1.2 mil
I think they originally paid $30,000
DH and I would like to live there too someday. I think it'll be quite a few years though.
I grew up in Oceanside right on the Oceanside/Rockville Centre border. It is a really nice area too.
