Rolling Pin Bakery or Create-A-Cake?

Hey there! Our reception hall hired Create-A-Cake or Rolling Pin to make our wedding cake. So, of the two, does anyone have a preference?

TIA!

Rolling Pin. Personally, I hate Create a Cake. Yuck.

Wow! I have never been to Create-A-Cake, but I keep hearing the same things. I'm so glad I asked! And then - do you particularly like Rolling Pin?

Answered you on the 09 board. I've never had cake from Rolling Pin. Their pies and pastries are amazing. The best cakes I've ever had in the Setauket/Stony Brook area were from La Bonne Boulangerie.

I'm hopefully meeting with Rolling Pin on Saturday - he's calling me back to let me know if he's available.

Rolling Pin has fantastic cakes (tasty and beautiful), and Create a Cake is just so so. I have heard that it is difficult to get an appointment for Rolling Pin, but it is totally worth the wait. Good luck.

My cake was from rolling pin. Everyone raved about it! I had chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling. I was sick so I didn't get to eat any that night, but I defrosted my top and had a slice two weeks later (I felt I was entitled to a slice before it was really disgusting) AND two weeks later it was the best cake I've ever had!!!!! I grew up on betty crocker cakes and have never liked bakery cakes. This though was awesome.......I highly recommend them!!!!!

Our cake was from Create a Cake and it was delicious and beautiful! It was red velvet as well. Most bakeries charge more for red velvet and fondant and they didn't.

I got my sweet 16 cake there and although it was just a regular sheet cake and nothing particularly fancy, we gave them a napkin we wanted to match to the cake and let me tell you, it was EXACTLY like the design on the napkin. So I don't know if that helps (it was also 12 years ago - WOW I'm old...) but we had a great experience with them.
