Can anyone recommend a nice, romantic restaurant near Union Square for our anniversary dinner? Right now we're considering Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern and Gotham Bar and Grill. Any other suggestions?

the three you mentioned are pretty much the best in the area if you ask me! Blue Water Grill is good, too ... but i would choose the other before that for a special occasion.

Candela's - Fh and I had one of our anniversary dinners there...very nice.. if i'm not mistaken its pretty near gotham...same block even
blue water grill is amazing & candela is good too. ive heard union sq cafe is great but never been. gramercy tavern has great food but i didnt find it too romantic.

I LOVE this place!
I can honestly say that Union Square Cafe was one of the very best restaurants I've ever been to. I also like Blue Water Grill, Gramercy Tavern, and Candela. Candela wins for romantic atmosphere, I think.

CRAFT is the best restaurant I have ever been to!!!! Gramercy Tavern although expensive, and Union Square Cafe. Blue H20 is good too.
