for some reason, when I try to insert a web image from my community album into a post, all I can see is red X's...

do one here so i can see what you are doing

see damn it..

this is what is looks like

you are copying the address to the page and not the photo. you need to right click the photo and select the properties then copy the URL and paste that into the web image so then it will look like this
