Ron - Suggestion for you

Ron - Suggestion for you

Please tell me if this already exists and I'm just a dingbat.

It would be really nice if there was a way to click on something that said 'recent posts' and it gave you links to the last 15-20 messages that you posted. Right now, I have to find my last post and click on my name to see them...that's a pain. I know that you can subscribe to posts, but I thought that links would be easier so that I don't have to check my personal email during the day.

What happens when you click, subscribe? I did it then thought it would be saved somewhere like 'notebook' items, but don' t see anything. I like you idea by the way.

When you 'subscribe' to a topic, you receive an email anytime that topic has a new post on it.

NYCityWeddings & LIWeddings.com are the same boards....you may have been in NYCityWeddings when you subscribed, or the original poster may have started the thread there.

True, but how do you get to your profile. The only way I know how to do this is by finding the last post that I made. What if I haven't posted in a while?

OK, Laura, did you start this post in NYC?

Click on your name to the left of the response board, and you'll come to your profile and as you scroll down, you'll see your last 10 posts.

Yes - BUT, if you haven't posted in a while...how do you get to your profile to see the last 10 messages that you posted in?

Laura..I hear ya, what I do is go to my FM, go to my sent items or inbox hit reply or something...and once my name is 'clickable' that works too.

Thanks Tatum...that's exactly what I was talking about. Going to forum mail is a good tip though. Thanks!

I should have said that from the beginning, I guess I didn't think of it right away, I was waiting to see what Ron said, but then I remembered my way...

Click your screenname to the left when you reply to this thread. When you reply shows up, click your name and every thread you have responded to will be at the bottom, all you have to do is scroll down.

She knows that - she's asking in the case that she doesn't get to check LIW for the rest of the day and none of her threads are still current by the time she comes back. This way, she doesn't have to search through pages and pages of threads to find a place where her name is clickable.

The 10 most recent threads she or anyone responds to, will automatically be at the bottom of their profile - even if they are 1-20 months old, etc. Then, all the user has to do is click on the thread, hit bump or reply and it will be at the top of the boards it was started on. Does this help?

For example- I missed about a week of boards due to my wedding, but my good-bye was in my profile, so I could read people's comments, etc.

Yes, she/we all know that - she was asking if there was another way to find them besides clicking on your profile...you can't click on your profile if it is not listed on the most recent boards....SO...I suggested going through FM, and that was what she was looking for....get it?

ETA: Are you having a 'FUNNER' moment???

The only other way is do a search using only your user name as the key source of information. I've done that a few times, but it only goes as far back as your most recent 1000 posts.

Oh, I'm having funner moments all the time! I'm married and the wedding planning is done!
