Room block

I'm getting married on Monday, July 4th 2011. My wedding will end by 930 pm. Do you think its necessary to provide guests with a room block for that night?

yeah, you should really have one.

plus, it's free for you to get a hotel block so why not?!

I would say it depends on how many out of town guests you have

Hotels usually hold up to 15 rooms for no charge up to a month before the wedding and as the rooms get booked up you could add more to your block. Couldn't hurt to hold them so that your guests have somewhere to stay and you could usually get them reduced group rates.

it's definitely better to have the room block just in case and let your guests decide if they want to use it or not.

Our hotel actually doesn't charge anything to block rooms - but if the rooms are not book a month before the wedding date than they are put back into inventory (but you still don't get charged).

Absolutely!!

I am getting married July 3, 20ll, and the hotels told me I should do a block now to make sure there are enough rooms for everyone. I got a pretty good deal at the Islandia Marriot for that weekend. Let me know if you need details.

Absolutely! Any OOT guests will appreciate it plus people may want to party at the hotel. It doesn't cost you anything, so I say go for it!

Yes definitely, thats a late ending wedding! My wedding will end around 5:30 and we are doing a room block for our OOTs.

its always nice to offer a room block some people dont like driving home after a wedding and what about OOT guests who dont want to impose on other people.
