room block

dose this seem obvious that each person pays for their own hotel room. my grandmother feels that if we tell family and friends about the hotel block they may think we are paying for the rooms and we are not. Help
.

look in album for our hotel block info

i will be telling them to mention our names for the block (that is what is crossed out at the top)

Re: room block

The hotel cards should say something like 'rooms have been blocked off for our guests at a discounted rate'.

Are you blocking the rooms at fox hollow? We had gone to 3 weddings there last year each time there was a card in the invite (along with info on their website) that said something like mention you are booking for so and so's wedding to receive the discounted price.

Whats in that album is just the save the date, correct? when you send out the wedding invite, make sure the line Jill quoted is included in the information, that way it is clear that you won't be paying for it.

Hmm...I would save that insert for you wedding invitation, so that way all the guests have the wedding information together. Do you have a wedding website? If so, can you include an insert with your save date that lets them know there is hotel information posted on your website? That is what I would do. Hope this helps!

I have never been to a wedding where the bride pays for the guests hotel rooms, so would never make the assumption that that were the case. I think what you plan on sending out, will certaily let everyone know that the hotel costs are their own responsibility.

I agree about the wedding website. Although I doubt anyone would even think for a second you're paying for the rooms.
