I know this may sound like a stupid question but for those of you who did or will make your own rose petal cones.... What size/kind of paper did you use? How did you fasten the cone shut (staples, tape, hot glue)? Did you put anything on the outside of the cone to decorate it?
We are planning to print our names on the inside and I remember seeing a picture of this but for the life of me I think my computer ate it!!!!
So if you have some pictures I would appreciate that too Thanks in advance

Re: rose petal cones...how to??????
I don't have any pics, but I made my own and they came out great. I bought vellum paper at Odd Job (I'm not sure what the size was but it was larger than regular paper and square.) I cut the paper into 4 squares and rolled each into a cone. I used double sided tape to secure the cone. Then I punched 2 small holes in the front and tied ribbon around the back of the cone and through the holes and made a bow. You can skip the ribbon if you want, but I thought it was a nice touch. So far I've made 80 cones for about $4-5. They're pretty easy, but they're a little time consuming. I suggest you do them while watching TV or something to help the time pass. Good luck!

I am making them out of photocopied sheet music and rolling them into cones w/ some double stick tape or hot glue... make one and use it as your template!
