Re: rose petals for cones
My florist WAS going to give them to me for free, but I can only use silk ones at the hall-so I ordered off ebay.

Re: rose petals for cones
Fortunately our florist (Pedestals) is throwing them in for us but I don't think they'd be too much. WHoever you are using for your flowers should be able to give them to you for free or at leats a good price. HTH
We did all rose bouquets and CP's, so the florist just used the petal he 'cleaned' off of those roses for free. ven if you are not doing roses, maybe you can get them to throw them in; it can;t hurt to ask!

Am I being ripped off??? I called my florist yesterday for a quote on petal cones. She said if she makes the cones and gives me the petals-it's $5/each but if I make the cones and she provides just the petals, it's $2.50/each. Should they be giving me them for free? If you don't mind me asking, what is everyone else paying?

I planned on making my own petal cones but ordering the petals from the florist. I wouldn't mind doing the whole thing myself. But how do you order flowers a few days before for the day of -and still be fresh? Don't you have to deliver everything a few days prior?

if you order your own flowers you would want them freeze dried.

Oh ok. Thanks! What exactly is freeze dried? Are they fake flowers or preserved in something? I'm new with all of this... ha ha!
