Anyone take wedding pics there? Was there a problem with goose droppings? Was it worth it in the end?
Thanks!!

Re: Roslyn Duck Pond?
We took pics there after my sisters wedding (in November 03). You do have to watch where you step, but it wasn't too much of a big deal, you just need to be careful to hold the dress up. Also, I don't remember if it had rained the days before the wedding, but the ground was saturated. We had our shoes dyed to match the dress, and my feet were covered in red dye. Luckily, this was after the ceremony, so she didn't care. Having said that, the pics did come out absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks so much! I guess I'll bring a back up pair of shoes since we'd go beforehand.

I plan on taking my pictures there, but just wanted to let you know that according to the town of north hempstead you need a permit to do that. I don't know how they check or manage it, but I went ahead and paid the $50 fee. It was worth it so I don't have any hassles.
The info is on the town website, and the park is actually called Gerry Park.

My hall was in Roslyn and had given it to me in the Spring 06. They could have reduced their fee.
