I live right near the Roslyn Duck Pond and it's so pretty in the fall!

What do you all think of the Duck Pond as a Ceremony site if we chose to go with George Washington Manor (apparently right down the block ????)????

OK cool! Do you see baby ducks there? Maybe not in the fall but I'm obsessed with them and haven't seen any for years since I was living in the city...

I haven't really. I live like 5 mins away and drive by there about 3-4 times a week. But I am sure there are a lot of baby tons there!

I think that's a great idea. Although, I am not sure if you would be allowed to. You may have to get a permit.

Re: Roslyn Duck Pond vs Garden City Gazebo
So funny that you posted this...my apartment is pretty close to the Roslyn Duck Pond, and I decided to visit with FH earlier today, because I was thinking about getting our epics done there in September...
It would've been really nice, but it was sooooo dirty. There was garbage everywhere and more goose poop than I've ever seen in my life. There is a duck pond in Baldwin that is much smaller but so much cleaner and nicer looking. I was very surprised. I'm guessing I just caught it at a bad time?
However, I do think that there's more to that type of place than there is to the GC Gazebo... so maybe I just caught it at a dirty time?

Honestly I live by the garden city gazebo, and it's pretty but I think the duck pond would be much better you have the pond, the leaves and its just numerous options not so much for the gazebo. HTH

If I don't bad remember GC Gazebo is not that spectacular..it's in a corner and it only has a gazebo. I just googled RDPond and it has very pretty views, plus it has water. I'd go with the RDP

Re: Roslyn Duck Pond vs Garden City Gazebo
I agree took my e-pids there. lots of goose crap and the ground was soaking wet even though it had not rained any time near that day. i would look elsewhere or go there and visit it first. i saw pics from there and loved it and honestly i was disappointed when we got there.
