Hi, I am thinking of going on a cruise in August for our wedding.... but I want to go on a cruise that is more centered around honeymooners.... I don't want to see kids running around (screaming, crying, etc) lol!! I want to be able to relax with my new to be hubby and make friends with other couples :) How's Royal Carribean any good?

The more expensive a cruiseline is the more likely there will not be children, princess, celebrity. I know holand america is for older folks. We are looking at celebrity since it;s considered a luxury cruise. Crystal is probally the top of the line out there but very pricey.

I would say Holland but then you'll see a much older crowd. A travel agent once told me that the longer the cruise the less likely there will be kids because parents dont usually take their kids out of school longer than a week.

i agree, royal has a lot of families. so does carnival because its so affordable. the problem also is the more expensive you go the older the crowd is going to get.
we are considering a cruise for our HM and at first i wanted to go to a resort that was more honeymooner geared but now we are leaning towards a cruise. cruises have such wide appeal that i think it will be hard to find one that is more centered towards honeymooners. for every pro you will find a con, i.e. cheaper = more kids, more expensive = more older couples

Oh really...I didnt know there were going to be many kids on RC :( I'm a teacher and the last thing I want to see on my honeymoon are kids lol!!!!! Don't get me wrong- I love my kids IN SCHOOL... but not when I'm trying to relax and especially not when I'm trying to get some romantic time with my hunny.

i have never been on RC so dont know what its like. I have been on princess and it is great if you dont want to see kids. They had 4 pool areas, 2 main ones on one level and it was all adults. There was a pool for kids on another level and ALL the kids hung out there since they had things specifically for them. Honestly, i barely saw kids bc they had a whole level to themselves. When DH and i were going around the ship just looking we found this level and they had arcades, they had mini-golf, they even had that virtual surf type thing so the kids preferred to hang out there.
