I received a phone call from a guy at Royal Prestige saying we (FH and I) had won a trip for 2 to 1 of 5 Wyndam Viva (All Inclusive)Resorts. All we had to do was go meet with him and give him our opinion on China, Crystal, Flatware and Cookware. No obligation to buy, just meet with him, tell him if we like/don't like stuff and we get our vacation voucher. The only thing not included was the air fare.
Is this too good to be true (I am such a sceptic) or legit? Anyone ever hear of them?
TIA -Jill

Yep, it is a sales ploy.
Now, if we go there, don't buy anything, do we still get the free vacation?
FH does not see the purpose in getting let alone registering for china and crystal so I know he won't let me buy any.
We're also good at puttin gon our game faes, and making like we don't care about/don't like something even if we do.

Re: Royal Prestige?!?!
FH and I went to one of their seminars. It wasn't terrible. They cook in front of you (and the cookware actually looked like quality stuff) and let you taste the food (pretty good) and at the end they sit down with each couple seperatly and ask what you want to buy.
We, of course, said nother and we got a mail in voucher for a vacation.
I still have it, it expires in december. THere are a lot of rules and restrictions as far as the trip...you have to mail in a efundable like $70, you have to let them know your top 3 choices in hotels and dates 3 months before travel and they can decide where you go.
FH thinks it is still a scam and I always said that we would use it but we have no intention of going anywhere.
Overall, it was boring to sit there but interesting to see the products. If you can make the trip happen go for it!
Good luck!

Hmmmm, they said it does not expire. How long is the seminar? He said nothing about a seminar, just tell them what we like and don't like. Mail in? They pick dates? That's not gonna fly with FH. He is a cop and picks his vacation the begining of the year and he can't stray from that. We'll see how it goes. We're going Sunday afternoon.

I got a call tonight and last night from Century 21 - Royal Prestige too. They made it seem urgetn and I had to call back by 9:30 p.m. - which I did not do until tonight. They said FI & I won a choice of 3 trips as well as vouchers for both of us at $500 each & 40% off of their products. We are to attend a 75 minute seminar near La Guardia. The woman who I spoke with said nothing about vouchers but she did say we had our choice of vacation spots - Mexico, Puerto Rico, Hawaii (Bahamas cruise from Florida) and some other places.
FI is probably not going to agree to go and I know there is some catch. If they get to pick the dates - NO WAY we can agree to that.
