Royalton Brides -

Just wanted to let you all know that I was at a wedding at the Royalton this past weekend and FH and I were really impressed! The room was beautiful, the food was great, the service was great . . . let me know if you have any questions and I would be happy to share! Congratulations!!

how many people, approx., were at the wedding. I'm having between 200-220. Want to make sure it is roomy enough?

What was the menu?

I'm guessing they had around 200 guests, maybe the low 200s. The room and table was definitely accommodating for that many people - I didn't feel squished at my table or anything. The cocktail hour room was definitely full but not uncomfortably crowded. Everyone was too busy enjoying the food to notice or mind!!

Oh, and the menu was some type of salad with poached pears and peaches then a choice of a stuffed chicken breast, filet mignon or chilean sea bass. FH and I both had the bass with risotto, which was amazing, and a friend had the filet mignon which was also really good. They had the Viennese hour also and the wedding cake was, I think, red velvet with a cream cheese frosting.

WOW! I am doing a red velvet cake with the cream cheese too!

How many people were at each table? I don't know how many people I should seat at a table. 10?

The tables seat 12, but you can put however many you want. We're putting no more than 10 per table to keep it roomy, since we're only having 140-150 guests.

The cake was really good - I ate the whole slice, which is unusual for me and wedding cakes. Usually I find them too sugary and sweet. I think we had 11 at our table and it was comfortable. I overheard several people talking about the food, that it was the best food they've had at a wedding. It really was good and I was impressed by the table service. FH did say though that he had a bad experience with one of the bartenders - apparently he was on the phone while mixing drinks and was making people wait for drinks because of his personal conversation. Apparently another woman waiting for a drink next to my FH also commented on that.

Yea that's what they told me... but I was thinking 12 was a lot of people at a table.
