So now that I've changed my venue I have to totally reinvent my vision, ha! It had JUST started to come together for me too...oh well. wondering what colors other royalton brides are going with? I think the room looks best in all white but not sure what to complement/accent it with, BM dresses, etc...i was going with purple and mustard before but im def scrapping that..

I am doing a winter wonderland theme. We are having Royal Blue dresses and the room will have blue uplighting. the CP's are tall silver candleabras with all white flowers. We will also have twinkling winter branches set up all around the room.
Honestly, I think the place and the room is soo versitile and you can do ANY color you want there. There are no silly looking rugs with huge designs all over (sorry to those of you who like them.. not my style)... but since the floor is all wood and the walls are mostly white you can do anything. The CH room has a lot of mahogony, again.. you can do any color with that too.
So if you want the purple and mustard then go for it! I think it's more doable to do any color at the Royalton than it was for some of the other places we went to. We saw a lot of places with burgundy's and greens... and neither of those colors matched the look I was going for. The Royalton was different... which is why we booked it! I knew we could do ANYTHING because it's just a classic looking versitile place.

Did the redo it again? they had one for most of last year.. then sometime in Nov or Dec they updated it and all the pics too... did they redo it again? I have to check that out when I get home. I'm about to leave work.

me too! white,pale pink, some green for centerpieces.... considering some bursts of a brighter pink but the soft colors look so nice! Its true you can do anything in that room!

I'm the crazy color bride doing a bright fuchsia/purple with leaf green...Think magenta orchids, lots of branches....I love my colors!!!

I'm doing white, ivory and black but I'm not a color person..all my students ask if I wear anything other than black :)
I still need to work on my flowers. S&P and Stephans are so freakin expensive compared with all the other florists I'm so unhappy knowing I could get so much more other places.
I have to make another appointment and start all over again.

For some reason when I look at the Royalton ballroom I always see it as being an ivory/light yellow shade in there b/c of the walls. I also am not a color person so I'm doing white and green flowers and trying to go with a natural, summery but elegant look.

I am doing shades of purple for the reception flowers. I actually like the idea of color in that room because everything is so plain. But I too am a color girl. My centerpieces are in my album and i am coordinating everything around that.

Thanks for the bump Ker! My bridesmaids dresses are Melissa Sweet, and the colors are Cassis and Leaf. Half the girls are in Cassis (a bright, fuchsia/purple) and half the girls are in Leaf (a mossy, grass green). The flowers will be bright magenta/purple and green, with accents of white. Lots of branches though, kind of minimalist but bright. I'm also using gold as an accent with plate chargers, accents on my cardbox, etc. What were you thinking?
