I visited the Royalton Mansion today and really liked it. It was very different than what I had expected. Very small and homey. It is only the first hall (of 7) that ive visited, but I definately got a good feeling. The ballroom was set up for a wedding, there were seat covers on the chairs - it looked beautiful. Mike T told me that i would rent the covers from the florist and i MUST use their florist, so im sure it costs a small fortune. Heres some info: ceremony fee- 700 cocktail hour _ 5 hot stations and 10-12 passed hors de voures all the food is customized towhat you want valet- 125 per valet cake - included free stay there vienese table- included
I have some questions- they quoted me a fair price- how much will they work w me on that price? how extensive is the ccoktail hour? we want a huge ch how large is the outside are ? i wasnt abble to see it but it looked kinda small how big is the vienese table? has anyone ever done the farewell table? any pictures? has anyone ever done the after hour party? what foods were there? any pictures of that/? could you get any of that thrown in?

Re: royalton ladies
I went to a wedding at the Royalton and it was amazing. The food is so good. I really didn't eat any of the hot stations during cocktail hour, but I loved what they passed around.
The outside is on the small side.
I don't think you need the chair covers. My friends didn't get them and the room still looked amazing.
My friend paid a lot for flowers.
My friend had an after party. She had band during the main party and for the after party had a DJ. The after party was fun and got a little crazy. I know they had sliders and a chocolate fountain.

I looked into getting married there but I ended up planing a smaller wedding. I have been to a wedding there and the food is amazing. Def a big cocktail hour. Also the chairs look great with or without the covers.

Re: royalton ladies
I'm getting married there in October so can only answer some of your questions...
They'll work with you on price a bit, depending on what your minimum is. I think they came down $5-10 per person when I increased my minimum.
I'm doing the after-party, and because of this they threw in the farewell table. I'm not too sure about the food at the after-party, but my fiance seems to remember them saying they bring in food from outside, including White Castle (some of my guests have gotten SUPER excited about this and I'm like really people?!?). That's something I need to ask them about again.
The outside area doesn't look HUGE, but I'm very bad with space & knowing how many people can fit.

Oh and FYI - there are 2 florists you can choose between, I met with both of them and was quoted between $4-5K (my wedding size is around 170).

Re: royalton ladies
I'm getting married at the royalton too, so of course i'm bias (actually the day before Christine!!)
They didn't really bargin much, a lot of the other venues i went to were much easier with 'throwing things in.' I've heard from other girls on the boards that they will let you walk if you 'threaten.' I had my parents and future in laws with me, so they did most of the talking.
I already booked my florist, and compared to the other prices of other florist on here, i think they are higher, but they claim that they will work with you.

Its an amazing place! They don't like to bargain down or throw in extras at all. It felt like they are used to people just throwing their business at them. I didn't love that... I've heard great things though! Good Luck in your planning!

this!
We loved the royalton, one of our top fave places
the guy told us flat out that he doesn't bargain and that the price is pretty firm,, bc everything is pretty much included
there is not much to have thrown in, i mean you have unlimited menu options and unlimited CH options and a VH, cake, hotel room, monogrammed towels and napkins....um what else is there to upgrade to?
good luck tho, it is a beautiful place!
you should def check out carlyle on the green and the woodlands if you are comfortable with that price range and like the feel of the royalton
carlyle was my number 1 choice, 2nd to royalton, I felt like it had the same cozy feel as the royalton
hth!
