It isn't an easy thing to deal with. FH & I both have people in our families who are either full blown alcoholics or are in recovery. We are planning on having a sparkling cider toast insead of champagne toast. We are going to have the bartender proof those who are under 21 ,hopefully it will help to keep my cousins 19 year old daughter from drinking {but that is another story}. As far as the adults are concerned we haven't determined how we are going to handle them yet. When my friend got married a couple of years ago, she only had sodas and wine at her wedding as a way to deal with the alcoholics in her family. I hope that this helps. Feel free to FM me if you need to talk.
