My mom says the E-Ring, b/c your suppose to keep diamonds close to the heart... But I'm not sure if she's right.... Does anyone know? It's 2:25 in the morning and I can't sleep... So this is my question....

I was told the wedding band goes first, so it is close to your heart. And then the engagement ring goes on to 'protect' it.

Me too! I heard wedding band then ering or I have also heard (on here probably) that you can wear the ering on your right hand and wedding band alone. I will wear them both on left though

How about at the ceremony? Are you suppose to have your e-ring on your left hand or does it go on the right and then you place it on top of the wedding band after the ceremony?

Yes, I can confirm. You wear your e-ring on the right hand for the ceremony. That way your wedding ring gets placed on your left hand closest to your heart and you can put the e-ring back on after the ceremony (if you want to).

Most girls wear the e-ring on the wedding day on the right hand and so after the ceremony when the wedding band is put on, they move the e-ring from the right to left so that the wedding band is below the e-ring

Usually, your wedding band goes on first then your E-ring.
But, I have seen it the other way around. I don't think it's forbidden to wear your E-ring first that your band. It's what you are more comfortable with IMO.

that is exactly correct. Place it on your right hand during the ceremony and then switch it over afterwards

yup, the wedding ring. But since my e-ring doesn't fit on my right hand either I will have my sister (MOH) wear it until the end of the ceremony. I just don't trust someone else won't lose it and I can't be without it!
