RP: Blonde?

Hi '08ers!! I have to admit I definitely check out your boards and you all seem to know the answers to everything!! I posted this on BHB and newlyweds. Hopeing soem of you could help!!!!

I am so sick and tired of going to salon after salon and asking them for blonde-blonde and coming out with darker hair. It's so frustrating and SUCH a waste of money.

Can anyone please recomend a good colorist that would be able to give me the exact color I want??

Thanks!!!!

Re: RP: Blonde?

i JUST answered you on BHB...its very weird if you ask for blonde and its coming out dark, ask the girl what colors she is using...usually its 1 color or a mixture of color along with a little bit of peroxide or some use other products.

Is your hair coming out brown or how?

I am not from LI so dont know of a colorist, although when i went to lumara they were good there but i didnt get color.

You are asking for a location in Li right?

Is your stylist using peroxide?? Peroxide is a must if you want your hair lighter....

Sorry, I have no recommendations

Re: RP: Blonde?

Thanks guys!! Ive heard of Hair Say but never looked into it! I'll check them out!!

Espo...I have gone to about 8 different places and spent soo much money. I am naturally a very dark blonde. I have gotten highlights but when I ask for single process it always comes out looking like highlights!!! Could it be I have overprocessed my hair? hmmm.

I live in queens now so anything on LI or Queens would be great! I loved the blonde-blonde you had (looks like highlights??) and your cut with the bangs is something I would love to do but not sure if that would fit me face!
Thanks for your help!! :) :)

Re: RP: Blonde?

I go to Little Steph at Salon Osio in Oceanside -- I know every girl says this but I truly think she is the best.

I have naturally red hair (not oragne - red/auburn) and she made my hair BLONDE -- it was only hightlights but still. So I see no reason why she couldn't make dark blonde into regular blonde.

FM if you want a number.

trust me the overprocessed thing is not true, ive been dying my hair since im 14 lol so close to 14 years you should be fine. Thats so weird though if you went to so many places.

well in queens the salon called 'friends' on ditmars boulevard in astoria is good although they raised their prices recently and i was even surprised how much i got charged for SINGLE PROCESS only but Bruno did my hair red and it came out great. My friend says hair spray in astoria is good and also great prices.

Would you be willing to go to brooklyn, that place pielo is supposed to be real good and you can go to one of their master colorists

Re: RP: Blonde?

Funny thing... I went to my hair stylist that I have been going to for years for my highlights. A couple of weekends ago I decided to go back to my blonde highlights, so I went to her and she did an aweful job, I couldnt believe it. So in order for both of us not to get embarrased I didnt go back to her to fix it, instead I bought a box of highlighting kit and did it myself and it came out soooooooo nice, and my friends and fam agreed that I did a better job than the stylist
