We were planning to do tortuga mini rum cakes for favors. Love the taste and they went with our semi-beachy theme, but they were a lil pricey for so many ppl. That didnt really matter all that much, but we just ended up stumbling on something that I really love. Well mom found it.
Butterflies are special to me bc they have kind of represented the memory of my father who passed in 04. We found lots of sites with butterfly favors and seeds to plant (that will grow flowers that attract butterflies) and plantable seed paper shaped like butterflies and decided to go with the latter, in blue plantable paper and brown ribbon (our colors, tho they come in others). I love the idea! It comes with instructions, but we're going to print our own message too explaining that butterflies represent hope and new beginnings, and for them to plant the paper and flowers will bloom that attract butterflies.
Only like $43 for set of 25.
Ordered...another thing to check off list!!!

good luck finding something. just try to think of what reminds you of him and go with that. there are little picture things that you can hang from your bouquet (cant think of what their called), memory candles, include pics of him in frame on one of your tables, poem, mention in program, you can def find so many ways to incorp a loved one!!!

i came across these a few months ago we are doing this for our favors as well. i am going to make them myself i already made a few and started planting them to see if they grow! lol 2 are budding!!! its so cute!

I love those! I've seen them in butterfly shapes, fip-flops, and watering cans. THey are so cute!
