RP from 08: despite bailout stocks plummet

Since you girls had a thread on this and spoke about it alot, thought i'd post on here too

I didnt like the bail out plan to begin with and now not only did it not help but we're gonna have to pay for it

Wow.. This is getting really scary! The stock market situaiton is getting out of control! My 401k fell 7% in one week!! I am really scared for the future of this country...

i know dh's went down by $10k, but his mom said it went down $30k

now my question is, with so many people having lost their jobs and will continue to do so, prices higher everywhere and the economy just not in great shape at all. How will the average american afford to get taxed more money

Yeah, so we had part of our wedding money in a mutual fund and have been losing money ever since this whole thing started... we lost an additional 1k before FH finally listening to me and sold the stock.... Mind you I told him to sell at the beginning of his yr bc I didnt want to risk it anymore.. Boys just dont listen

The way the market works, it will take a while before the bailout plan appears to start working.

it just s*cks bc in the meantime ppl will continue to lose their jobs. Each week this keeps happening the company suffers. ANd by the time the plan will take effect it might be too late for some companies and they can end up going bankrupt
