RP from 08: Ladies getting married or got married on a holiday or holiday weekend

How long in advance did you send out invites?
I am getting married memorial day weekend i have all the invites stamped and ready to go....i was gonna send the out of state/country invites tomorrow and the rest March 1st.( right now i am 13 weeks our)
I want to give everyone ample time to make travel plans.....also my family are a bunch of procrstinators....i thoguht maybe ill get them out as early as i can hoping to get the RSVPs back on time. It will be 3 months until the wedding on the 24th ( exactly a week from today) would it be ok to just sent them all out tomorrow?? even the local ones? or should i wait till next week? I think at this point i just want them out of my hands, 1 less thing to worry about.
TIA!

I voted 10-12 weeks even though I'm not a holiday weekend. I'm a Sunday with lots of OOTers and we are sending invites out early.

Edit: sending invites out appx 3 months before with 2 months to reply (1 month before our wedding date)

Hi Heather,
I wanted to make sure I checked out your post AND ANSWERED!!! I am getting married on the 4th of July and my plan is to send them out anywhere from 8-10 weeks...we sent out STD's so I think 8-10 weeks is fine

part of why we are sending them early is because I will be in NY for the first half of the summer and the RSVPs are going to my parents house. I'm hoping to get some replies while I'm still in town!

Personally I think 13 weeks is too early to mail your invitations.

I wouldn't mail them any earlier than 10 weeks before your wedding, at the absolute earliest.

Outside of NY most people only mail invitations 6 weeks before the date of the event.

I would say 9-10 weeks...I have a lot of OOTers so we sent them around then.

I got married friday memorial day weekend and sent them exactly 2 months prior with an RSVP of one month before

HTH

40% of my guest list was OOT and it was no problem sending them then
