RP from 08: Question for Catholic brides or girls getting married in a Catholic church

Did anyone do FOCCUS Online? I'm on the rockville centre diocese webpage and considering doing it this online so we can do it at our own convenience. . .does it matter if I do it online or in person?

Was it a requirement for your parish to do the FOCCUS? If so, they may have a preference on whether to do it online or in person.

We're not required to do it at our parish, but we were 'encouraged' to do it since our wedding is in 2009. So I'm assuming that meant we can do it online.

Sorry if that confused you even more!

Are you talking about the test part?

I dont know if they would allow you to take it online, I would call and ask the Parish you are getting married in.

Basically, you go in when they give the test, they sit you and FH on opposite sides of the room and you take the test-they dont want you and FH talking about your answers, they want to get your honest answers without any input from FH.

Then you go home. maybe 30 minutes tops.

After they calculate your % on what you agreed on and disagreed on they will call you and ask when you can meet with a member of the Parish to go over your answers. that meeting may be an hour or more depending.

I would definitely call and ask the Parish, they are really the only ones that can tell you what they allow and dont. I have never heard of doing it online.

Thanks for the help ladies

Spoke to my deacon and he said that it isn't a problem doing it online, as long as it gets done :)
