We're doing a waltz as our first dance, and last night my instructor told me I should get a brooch or something and pin up the front of the dress 8on the right side) for the dance because it could get stepped on... anyone ever hear do this, or done this or plan on doing it?

Re: Rp from BHB: Dancing in a Wedding Dress?
when i went for my first fitting I told the seamstress to make the hem a tiny bit higher than to the floor because i don't want to trip during our first dance...rather have the dress a bit shorter than longer. HTH..never heard of the pin idea.

Yeah, I would rather have it hemmed shorter than risk putting a hole in it with a pin.
