RP from BHB - need help - looking for a custom cookie place that isn't $$$$
Ok, I just want to cry - I have the best idea....I want the red apple cookies pictured below to put on each place setting at my wedding. I will attach a tag that explains that we are donating money to NY Cares instead of a traditional favor. But, I just called and this place wants to charge me $6 a cookie!!! WHAT IS THAT? Ugh.
Anyone know of a place that could recreate these for me (it can't be that hard) for at least half the price?
HELP - i really love this idea, but there is no way I can justify $6 a cookie!

there is a bakery by my house in Park Slope. I am pretty friendly with the owner and they are making my wedding cake. they have a a vendor that supplies their store with cookies like this, and they are around $2.50 each. I will see if they can do something like this. I can probably find out this weekend.
BTW Alicia- it's an AWESOME idea!!

Great idea! I gues sit depends on where you're from. i would say any decent bakery could do this. I am having cookies shaped and iced like dresses for my BM's at the E party tommorrow. The bakery by may parents in Centereach is charging me $2.50 each. And they went and BOUGHT the cookie cutter for me! I'll post pics, too!

Thanks, Jess! Leave it to me to find a place that does it for $6 each though! Even $2.50 each might be a stretch....I'm trying to do this 'in lieu of a favor' and it is costing what a favor normally does (sigh)...

I just wanted to add... that if I got $2.50 per cookie, for 7 cookies- I am SURE you can negotiate a better price for 100+ cookies! Then, maybe you could just do 1 cookie per couple?
