they just call it an 'offering' but some, if not all of it, is definitely a fee, it pays for the use of the church, the cantor, the organist, the ladies who coordinate the rehearsal and day of, pre-can fees, etc......we got married at St. Pat's a few weeks ago, we couldn't do pre-cana there (long story) so they subtracted 150 from our total 'offering' charge, so I know that pre-cana costs at least 150......hth

Yeah I am getting married there. They sent a letter and evelope stating that it is 780. I do not care about paying it, that is not the issue. But I find it funny you are getting married about a month before me and I am paying about 50 dollars more.
