RP From Honeymoon: 1 year anni repeat of honeymoon?
if given the chance, would you go back to the same place you honeymooned for your one year anniversary?
Dh wants to go back to tahiti, but instead of going to moorea and bora bora
wants to do moorea (different hotel) and huahine.
What do you think??
we are on a budget this time, so we wouldnt be at 5 star hotels this time, but still at nice places..
(background, we just bought a house, but somehow we can swing it, but the money would take away from work we have to do!)

I would love to go back to the Bahamas for our one year, but we're in the same boat and would rather use the $$ on our home instead.
So, we're treating ourselves to a weekend getaway to Newport, RI where we went the weekend of our wedding and staying at a Bed and Breakfast.

i don't know if i would want to do my honeymoon again. It was nice, but wasn't anything super special. We just booked a 1 yr anniv trip. We're going to CA for 5 days.

Omg, we would LOVE to go back to Hawaii for our anniversary!!!!! It would be a wonderful way to celebrate!!
Unfortunately we could never afford it at this point, but if you've got it then I'd absolutely go for it!!!

Yes. The money was one issue. Time off was another. We couldn't do it.

If we could, we definitely would!!! Between money and time off, it wouldn't be possible to go back to Hawaii at this point.
We booked a shorter trip using points/miles to Aruba for a few nights. Since it's closer, we can go for less time.

We loved Tahiti also.
but we planed to take a cruise to the Mexican Rivera for 8 days and spend a couple days in San Deigo.
I really hope you can go!

Yes, yes!! I'm going back to French Polynesia.
Actually, I made it within the same year because I could save a little on airfare.. there's a sale on ATN so, I moved up my travel dates.
I posted a message in topic, Honeymoon to let everyone know.
I'm doing OWB for a total of 10 nights all the way!!

We definitely would go back to Tahiti... if $$ wasn't an issue!!!
We are moving to FL in 2 weeks, getting new jobs, trying to save for a house... so it was out of the question for our 1 yr anniv.
If you can swing it, go for it!!!

the thing is, we did a lot of research
and i think we can go with a budget of 5k- not joking that includes air fare and food!
On moorea we would stay at a brand new private bungalow- it just opened- the guy that did dh's tatoo- his wife had it built and they are givign us a special super low rate.
then on huahini- one of the resorts just finished a renovation so they are having a special under 250 a night
and i found the flights for 2300 a couple round trip.
what do u think?

I would, but I rather go someplace else only because there are just soooo many other places I want to see before I make the trip back to Aruba. Maybe we will go for our 5 year anniversary.
This year we are going to Vegas- only because of the $$ situation. Had circumstances been different, we would go on a 7 day cruise to the carribbean.

Definitely, I loved the Bahamas, but you know how it is with $$$. We are in the process of completely redoing the kitchen, so no extra money is goingto be spent.

Thats great.....How come when we all were looking for a deal...we couldn't find one! Now you got a great deal!
