I need to buy a castle cake topper and found the perfect one on Ebay but it weighs almost 4lbs. This seems quite heavy to me. How much does your cake toppers weigh? I need to have the topper on the cake-it can not be set on the table next to the cake. The castle really makes the cake-w/o it the cake would be very boring. Do you think 4 lbs is too heavy? I was told that the baker can always make a mock top layer that uses wooden pegs to support the topper or something like that-has anyone heard of this or used something like this?

My Fmil is a cake decorator and I am also getting a castle cake let me find a pic of it she said she can make it from some kind of styrafoam(lol SP?)
I can't find a styrofoam castle anywhere except-one place but the castle is 100% white and then can be painted after you receive-I really don't want to be painting anything. Do you or your FMIL know where I can find a strofoam castle that can be custom painted to match my colors? I will post the cake-give me a second.
