RP: Ques Re parent dances

Is anyone planning on or doing parent dances right after your first dance? I sorta want to get them 'over with' in the beginning so that the rest of the night is FUN FUN FUN

or is everyone doing them after the cake?

We did ours after the cake but it is your day and do what is going to make you guys happy.

We'll probably do ours after the cake... i think it breaks it up a bit. If they are all at once in the beginning, your guests may get bored standing watching for so long. But it is also a nice change to the norm. Just do what you would rather do. You should ask your band/Dj and see what they think. I'm sure they have seen both.

Yea.. I just feel like if I waittill after cake I will be worried about it (my dad and I are getting roped into doing it to begin with.. we are very close, but just dont like the mushy stuff)

well - i wouldnt want the guests to sit and sit as they watch dance after dance - its bad enough that we have the 1st dance, my father daughter, FH's father daughter, and then guests will join later for his other father daughter - but it will all be staggered throughout the wedding....
