RP-shipping BM dress

Good morning ladies,

Well I got the call last night-well kinda. My BM's and my mom's dresses came in ! It is amazing how such a small event can really make a bride smile-everday it feels like my wedding is more real!! I wish my dress was in but that will not occur till the first week in April-it's crazy I ordered mine 6 months before the girls ordered theirs and theirs came in first!! Well, anyway one of my girls lives in Louisiana and will get the alterations done there due to time constraints-does anyone have any suggestions or experience with shipping dresses? What should I package it in? I know definately get insurance. Any other suggestions?

I need to know this too. I have three out of state girls, and I don't know how to ship the best way...Help

One of my BM's live in Florida and the salon sent it to her directly. I think there was a $20 charge to do it or something like that.

I would see if your Bridal Salon offers that and if not, you can always ship it yourself.

Did the salon have the dress manufacturer ship it directly from their factory to your BM or did the salon ship it? My dresses are already at the salon, so if the manufacturer did the shipping-its too late for that.

I just received my 5 BM dresses in the mail (perfectbridal.com) they came in a box, each wrapped in a dry cleaning bag. Nothing special. I would just stick it a normal box w/ maybe air filled bags. Thats it. Mine are all fine.

The MFG shipped all the dresses to the Salon and then the Salon shipped her dress to FL. I wanted all the dresses together to make sure the color was correct.
