For her MOG dress??? FMIL and I dont talk about the wedding AT ALL, but I was asking FH if he finalized some addresses for me and we got to talking about some small wedding details. So I asked FMIL, 'did you start looking for your dress' and her simple reply was 'no'....the wedding is in almost 4 months...shouldnt she have started looking? Am I being paranoid? My mom ordered her MOB dress in January!

yeah, i think she should start, the lastest she should go is 3 months before.
it depends if she's going to get something custom made or something off the rack and if it will need alterations...

I would say so particularly if she's difficult to size (heavy, or very petite, etc.) I think if she's ordering through a shoppe it should be done... but if she's just getting it off the rack at like a Lord and taylor's or a Macy's or somewhere like that she should be fine! GOOD LUCK! my mom and i are going to start looking for hers this summer... i am getting married in Feb.

yes, she should start looking. It depends on what she wants so it could take anywhere from 2-6months. I went with my FMIL to pick her dress out, if I were you I would take her out with you this weekend.

Unfortunately I wont be able to take her out this weekend. I have 2 weddings (1 sat and 1 sun). AND, I dont think that FMIL would allow me to go with her. FSIL and FMIL are attached at the hip and I am not included in on that group. Plus, FMIL looking for a dress has been a touchy suhject. It took me 10 miinutes to get up the nerve to ask her if she started looking. She DOES have a difficult body type to fit, so I am very concerned. GEEZ! More stress!!!

It's not a tragedy if she doesn't start looking right now. My FMIL waited until April and went to Nordstroms. She got a beautiful dress.

If she hasn't already done so, she should at least start looking. My wedding is in April 07 and my mom and FH mom have been looking for a while now... nothing chosen as of now...
My FMIL asked me like 8 months ago if my mom knew what color she was wearing... I was like whoa! Easier there.
