RP- what do you think of my song list for our CD's?

Ok, you might not like the actual songs I've picked.....but do you think they flow together? I'm just trying to figure out if there's one I should take out (or add) in case it just doesn't jive. We're doing two favors at the wedding, the glass love coasters, and CD's w/ one of our e-pics on it.

FH & I both like oldies, so we knew we'd pick quite a few of those, and he prefers songs like that instead of overly sappy ballad's. BTW, I LOVE reggae, so I had to add a little bit to the mix without giving any of the elderly members of my family a coronary! So Bob Marley and UB40 would have to do....and it's a bonus that you can understand what they're saying!

Here's the list (yes I know its long, it was originally ALOT longer!)

5. Tell him- The Exciters
6. And then he kissed me- The Crystals
7. I only have eyes for you- The Flamingo's
8. Stand by me- Ben E. King
9. When I'm 64- The Beatles
10. Maybe I'm amazed- Paul McCartney
11. Heaven - Bryan Adams
12. Make a memory- Bon Jovi (I had thought of 'I'll be there for you' which I ABSOLUTELY love, but it's a little bit of a break up song!)
13. You are the sunshine of my life- Stevie Wonder
14. It's not unusual- Tom Jones
15. Hooked on a feeling- Blue Suede (btw, this is FH's fav. song on the CD- he's all about the ooga shocka!
16. Could this be love- Bob Marley
17. The way you do the things you do- UB40
18. If you wanna be happy- Jimmy Soul (ok, this one is just plain funny!
19. Somewhere over the rainbow (50 First Dates version) I wanted to end it on a soft note!

-Let's stay together- Al Green
-Thank you- Led Zeppelin
-Doo wah ditty (this is the song that was playing when he proposed!- I might just have this played at the wedding).
-Saw her standing there- The Beatles
-Just the way you are- Billy Joel
-Crazy lil thing called love- Queen

I actually have a bunch more that I had on my list but I'm not including! BTW I'm a big Beatles fan, and I would've loved to use 'In my life' but that was my song w/ my ex.....and 'Two of us' is awesome, but I just wasn't sure if it jived with the CD.

Any opinions are appreciated!

a cd favor i got also had the BP entrance songs and the parent dance songs on it as well. just another thought!

thanks! that's a good suggestion.....but for the songs I've picked it might not work for the mix.

right now we've picked:

Parent entrance: Boogie Shoes
BP entrance: Pump it by the Black Eyed Peas

Mother/Son dance- they haven't picked their song yet!!

Mother/daughter dance- Daughters by John Mayer

I think this list is great. You have a lot of fun songs. Actually, we had a lot of these on our wedding cds. We decided to leave off Let's Stay Together (I can't remember why) and the band played it at our wedding and we sang the whole thing to each other. It was such a great memory- I wish it was on our cd because I always think of that moment when I hear the song now. Anyway, I think your songs are great and will please people of all different ages.
